Welcome to Hope Street Group’s blog! Here you’ll find analyses of recent articles related to Opportunity Economics. Because the American Dream is increasingly out of reach for a growing number of Americans, we will highlight the issues that matter most to increasing economic opportunity and prosperity. We will cover issues ranging from healthcare, small business development, education and retirement to homeownership and globalization. We also hope to use this blog as a forum for a diverse group of business professionals to discuss and debate not only what matters most to economic opportunity and prosperity in America, but how we can achieve these goals through bipartisan efforts at the national, state and local levels, and the role that the private sector can play in designing and implementing Opportunity Economics-enhancing policies. To keep the discussion valuable for everyone, I will moderate posts, though I expect to do this with a relatively light touch. My goal is to encourage high quality dialogue about the policies that drive or inhibit economic opportunity.
